Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers bounced back from the Week 1 loss to Florida State with a blowout 72-10 over Grambling State. Jayden Daniels had 5 touchdowns in the first half, which is something only Joe Burrow had done before Saturday's home-opener. Malik Nabers, Brain Thomas Jr., Kyren Lacy and Chris Hilton all scored in the first half. And Logan Diggs made a statement, proving that he can carry the work load for the LSU Tigers in the backfield. Harold Perkins was moved back to the outside, and Greg Penn returned to the field, reeling in a pick.
But the questions still remain about LSU Football's secondary and whether they'll be able to hang in SEC play. LSU allowed Grambling to drive 83 yards down the field on 7 plays, and Denver Harris allowed a touchdown in man coverage. The defense struggled at the beginning of the game but pulled it together quickly.
The LSU Tigers will kick off SEC Play with a matchup in Starkville, Mississippi facing the Bulldogs.

LSU Volleyball lost to Southeastern 3-1; the Tigers won the third set forcing 4 but couldn't finish. LSU had more kills, assists and aces, but the Southeastern lions had a better hitting percentage, blocking and digging. Jurnee Robinson locked in her third 20-plus kill performance of the season with 22 and matched a season-high .362 hitting percentage. And middle blocker Anita Anwusi matched her season-highs of 13 kills and a .667 hitting percentage, which is the third time this season that she’s hit over .600.
LSU Soccer beat Northwestern 2-1 to close out non-conference play on Sunday. Taylor Dobles had a brace, meaning she scored both of the Tigers’ goals. The Tigers will open up SEC play on Friday with a trip to Oxford to face off with Ole Miss who knocked them out of the SEC Tournament in 2022.
