LSU Football Brian Kelly Press Conference Win Over Arkansas, ESPN’s WNBA Mock Draft:Angel Reese No.8


LSU Football reeled in an ugly win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the first SEC home matchup of the season. Jayden Daniels got off to a slow start, throwing a pick in the first quarter, but quickly made adjustments. Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr. and Logan Diggs helped expand the offense, and the defense posted 4 sacks and 2 interceptions to help lock in the win. Brian Kelly held a press conference on Monday afternoon and shed light on the resiliency and perseverance the team displayed in its 3rd win of the season. Kelly also gave an update on Greg Brooks, saying that it’s vital that he gets rest but that he is making progress. LSU Volleyball dropped its SEC opener 3-1 to Kentucky on Friday. After fighting to take the first set, the Tigers dropped the next three to lose the match. LSU reached double figures in blocks for the second time this season as they finished with 11 blocks, but Kentucky (3-6) out-hit the Tigers .3365-.135 and had four aces on the night. Outside hitter Jurnee Robinson led the Tigers with 13 kills and finished with five blocks. Middle blocker Anita Anwusi followed with eight kills and four blocks. Setter Maddie Waak totaled 31 assists, four digs, three kills and one block, and defensive specialist Ella Hemmings recorded both of LSU’s aces. The team will face Missouri on Friday in the PMAC.


LSU Soccer reeled in another SEC win against Mississippi State, coming back from another deficit. Mollee Swift had the tying goal, and Mollie Baker had a huge assist to set up Sage Glover to make the game winner. Coach Sian Hudson said this was more of a “controlled, possession-type game with back and forth action.” It was just a really professional, disciplined performance from the players, and they executed the game plan really well. LSU (7-3-1, 2-1-0 in SEC) moved to third place in the SEC West behind Arkansas (3-0-0) and Ole Miss (1-1-1).
